Small scale wars, especially when they are carried outside of a country's borders, are good for the economy. The main reason for that is the increased demand for military equipment and supplies, additional jobs created, etc. Remember what a boon was WW II for US economy. Desert Storm's positive effect on economy is of course far less than that of WW II but it still was good.

∙ 12y agoThe US Military was able to combat test the new M-1 Abrams tank, AH-64 Apache Helicopter, the A-SHO Lighting, and A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog), and although the F-117 Stealth Fighter/bomber had been used during earlier operations, the F-117 was able to receive a better work out.
