Sounds like you have a wheel bearing going bad. Which the ABS sensor on most trucks about that year are housed in the sealed hub bearing assembly. Not serviceable, REPLACE! Sounds like the ABS fault is causing you the brake issues. Jack the front of your truck up and grab your tires at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions. Shake or rock the tire in a push and pull motion alternately from both positions. You will probably find one or both have play with those big tire assemblies. If you are to do the work yourself, I would start with the bearing that has the most play. Since by time it will have to be replaced first anyway. If someone you know has an scan tool that reads ABS they will be able to tell you which ABS sensor is At Fault. Could be the rear, who knows. Also inspect all wires going to both front hub bearings as well as the rear axle assembly. The rear one usually goes in the top of the rear end above the gear housing portion. If you have been mudding, you might have torn a wire in two or maybe missing completely. Just take a good look. Good Luck!
