If I have had bad neck pain almost everyday for a year now is it serious although doctors have said it is nothing?

There is no way for a doctor to know, unless you tell him...
RSI is Repetitive Strain injury... it says it all... using a muscle continuously, will make it hurt, and shut down in the end. It could be the way you sit, it could be the way you keep your head, maybe even they way you keep your head, just when driving... try to discover which position puts strain on your neck and change it.
If the Doctor says its nothing, he means, you don't have tumors, brain infections or any other scary deadly disease...
