When you have a boyfriend, get engaged, or get married it's usually because you feel that you love that person very much. Love and a good friendship are very similar, and it appears you have gotten a good friendship mixed up with love. Although you may not love this person and only like him as a friend have you ever stopped for one moment and realized what his feelings could be? Perhaps he has fallen in love with you. You both went together and I have no doubt he took that very seriously. He's hurt, confused and broken-hearted so gee, I can sort of see why he's stopped talking to you. When you love someone you just can't always stop loving that person and start being friends. It probably would be best if you stopped seeing him and moved on.
