You could...You could, but I really wouldn't. It would only put her in an impossible position. Her response suggests she doesn't want you to be more than a friend, and you don't want to ruin that friendship and make her feel uncomfortable, go in a group, try and spend some time with her and maybe in time her feelings will change. She obviously wants you for a friend, but not as a date, and she thinks enough of you not to hurt your feelings. Give it more time, and maybe she will see you as more than a friend later... or maybe not.

But, many girls just say No because they are scared they might make a fool of themselves in front of you. Be nice, make her comfortable being with you alone. Laugh good - naturally when she messes up and help her. Be like a brother.
