The Army is a very peculiar organization. It's actually not particularly difficult to enlist into the Army with a General Discharge, or even an other-than-honourable (however, a straightforward DD is usually a disqualifier) if the discharge occurred from any other branch of service. Reentry for personnel who received a General or OTH from the Army, however, is extremely difficult.
Your ability to enlist in the Army after an involuntary separation from another branch will be dependent on the reentry code on your DD-214. If you have an RE-1 or RE-2 reentry code, you're good to go. If you have an RE-3 code, you are disqualified for enlistment, but may be able to obtain a waiver to be able to enlist. If you have an RE-3C or RE-4 code, your chances are slim to none.
The discharge line does not go back to the evaporator but instead it goes to the a/c condenser......

The discharge papers will list the awards a soldier earned and will include references to the General Order that issued the medal. Usually the Victory Medal is referenced by GO 33 WD 45.This refers to General Order (GO) that was the 33rd one issued in 1945 by the War Department(WD).I think the "CO" you read is actually "GO".The Headquarters of each unit would number their General Orders (what civilians might refer to as Memos). So the 369 Infantry Regiment could issue the 15th order for the year 1944. This GO would be identified as: GO 15 369IR 44.
Yes, you can. Since the Army reserve is still a part of the military it will still give you the military experience and the honorable discharge. You may even deploy to Iraq/Afghanistan. The Coast Guard is also a branch of the military. You may go to the Middle East area with them as well, or do CT or drug operations near South America.

Going absent without notice from the military is considered unauthorized absence (AWOL) and can result in serious consequences such as disciplinary action, reduction in rank, loss of pay, confinement, and even a dishonorable discharge. It is crucial to communicate any issues or concerns with your chain of command to avoid these repercussions.
