Wait until they are done dating. Don't be rude about it. If their GF is rude to you, don't be rude back, just shake it off. Chances are, if she acts like that and he is a good guy, he'll break up with her anyway. If they are both nice people, still wait until they're over, wait a little longer (at least three weeks), and then ask him out. And perhaps the outcome of that could be:
a) you no longer like him like that
b) you realized more about him
c) you still like him and you ask him out
But if he feels like he needs to get over it longer, don't pressure him. Lay back a little while and just hang out as friends. Then, if he is interested you will know.
