∙ 14y agoWhen the men went to the tomb only Dr. Van Helsing knew what he was going to do. It was rather a surprise to the others when they found out, but by then they knew what Lucy had become and were willing to do it.

∙ 9y agoDracula may have chosen Lucy because of opportunity. She was a sleepwalker and based on the location of her family home by the sea, she was in the vampireâ??s hunting territory. It may also have been because of her closeness to Mina, the Vampireâ??s most desired victim. She is described as a virtuous girl in the text, therefore an assault on what is pure and good may also have been a deciding factor.
