∙ 14y agoThe estate is responsible for the bills. And since the spouse is typically inheriting the remains of the estate, to a certain extent they are paying them. If there is no estate the bills don't get paid, and there is nothing for the spouse to inherit.

∙ 15y agoNo, Florida is not a community property state. Married couples who do not reside in CP states are only responsible for those debts that are jointly incurred during the marriage.
