There were thirteen 'plotters' in the Gunpowder Plot.

Robert Catesby and Thomas Percy were both shot three days after the discovery of the plot when their house was raided- apparently with a single bullet! Christopher Wright was also killed there on the same day and John Wright was mortally wounded, so died there too.

Francis Tresham died in the Tower without having ever been publicly examined. It is not known if he died of a painful inflammation from being given too little to drink, or if he was helped on to his death.

Executed January 1606:

  • Thomas Wintour
  • John Grant
  • Ambrose Rookwood
  • Robert Keyes
  • Guy Fawkes
  • Thomas Bates
  • Sir Everard Digby
  • Robert Wintour

Hope this helps! :)
