Check this out. This ZX2 owner fixed the problem by creating his own gears for a "Taller Overdrive." If his idea only came in a kit, ZX2 owners would get better gas mileage across the nation. Here's the link: http://mypeoplepc.com/members/tleone/gears/ That seems a little high for me, but my vehicles are all a little bigger than an escort. Small engines are usually coupled to a lower ratio differential so that they can get a more advantageous gearing.
I had a dodge diesel 3500 I had to weld it
Sounds about right. It will be at about 4700RPMs at 60MPH in 5th.
you have trouble in the gear box.. there is no linkage adjustment
I have a 1992 Asuna Sunrunner. 1.6l 8 valve/ stock (yet). Runs about the same
I don't see why not. The normal cruising speed of 100 km/hr ( 62 mph ) in 5th gear is accomplished at around 3200 rpm, and celica has a high revving engine. Max torque doesn't arrive until you hit about 4200 rpm. i own a 92 celica, I love this little car, but there is just not enough power in lower rpm range.
The final gear ratio. Exp. 5th gear

whaat? well if its automatic, then just put it in d or d4 and it will be automatic. Since it is an old car you don't want to have the engine go at high rpm's usually above 3500. So on the highway keep it at the lowest gear, 5th for a stick. and shift the gear when you hit 3000 rpm's.
5th Gear - 2002 is rated/received certificates of: Australia:PG Norway:A (TV rating)
Your top gear or last gear you shift to. Depending on what make and model of your bike, either 4th or 5th on motocross bikes and for woods bikes it would be 5th or 6th.
