North America's Atlantic Time Zone includes most of the Caribbean islands, Bermuda, parts of Canada, and the area around the United States' Thule Air Force Base in Greenland.

The places in the Caribbean Islands that are on Atlantic Time are the Turks & Caicos Islands (UK), the Dominican Republic (the eastern half of Hispaniola), Puerto Rico (US), St. Martin, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Anguilla (UK), the Caribbean Netherlands, St. Kitts & Nevis, Antigua & Barbuda, Montserrat (UK), Guadeloupe (France), Dominica, Martinica (France), St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Grenada, and Trinidad & Tobago.

The parts of Canada in the Atlantic Time Zone are the part of Quebec east of 63 degrees west longitude, most of Labrador, and all of the Provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.

Atlantic Standard Time (AST) is UTC - 4 hours. Atlantic Daylight Saving Time (ADT), which is observed from the second Sunday of March until the first Sunday of November in Bermuda and Thule and in the Atlantic T.Z. parts of Canada except Quebec, is UTC - 3 hours.

Other times zones that are the same as Atlantic Standard Time (UTC-4) are Eastern Daylight Saving Time (EDT), Cuba Daylight Saving Time (CUDT), Guyana Time (GYT), Amazon Time (ANT) in Brazil, Bolivia Time (BOT), Paraguay Time (PYT), and, as of May 2016, Venezuela Time (VET).
