Yes easily, I think this is a really great programme, the actors are brilliant and send a positive message out to follow your dreams and to not be a sheep and follow the crowd. There make be a little kissing and cuddling, but nothing a young teen hasn't seen before. I let my kids watch Horror films but not this? No way, definitely for 12+, and especially great for anyone who loves singing and dancing! My 10 and 13 year old daughters watch this and its great because it shows the bad consequences of getting pregnant, (although no sex is shown, as the girl was pregnant when the show started!) And teaches them to keep going no matter what.
In my opinion, Glee is OK for children to watch. However, i think it depends on your parenting and your own principles. I'd advice you watch the show so you could judge for yourself. I watched it when I was ten, and I wasn't affected by it at all, and my mom was okay with it.
Depends.
Glee contains occasional mild sexual remarks, some of which are crass, whereas others are presented within the context of the storyline. Couples are seen kissing occasionally, both in public and in private, however any explicit sexual activity is implied.
Some mild coarse language are used that may or may not be appropriate.
But Glee is a typical show that is set in "high school", and therefore is supposedly appropriate for most teens, 13+.
It does deal with many adult themes which are unsuitable for many children, but it deals with thee themes in a sensitive way. Although many of the characters aren't great role models, they all learn valuable lessons which are transmitted to the viewers. Admittedly, there are many sex references but nothing is described in graphic detail! In conclusion, it depends on the maturity of the child and their age. For children older than twelve, I'd say there's no risk in them watching it as long as they realize that many of the events are over-dramatized and that some of the character's choices are wrong. Then again, Glee does teach acceptance of all people, responsibilty and strength.
I would say some episodes are but then others definitely not! Though it is a very good inspirational show that shows teamwork and the reality and effects of bullying, Glee also portrays high school students being sexually active, using drugs, and love scenes with the same sex. Yes, this may be the case in most high schools now, but it is not good to show students that what they are doing is ok just because it is on TV. and they think they are cool. So back to my point, I would only consider some episodes school appropriate.
I think it just depends on how mature the kid is.
yes i think it is appropriate for at least kids that are nine and up,but thats my opinion.
Glee is teen-appropriate. However, it does have a lot of young adult sub-tones in the newer seasons, which might be more appropriate for an older teen.
