Almost all HD outputs from receivers and DVD players are now HDMI based. The connector supports a standard high definition interface that is accepted internationally and is also compatible with DVI (the digital computer display interface). Other digital and analog HD interfaces are now almost unheard of within the domestic equipment market. Most HD players and receivers will have an analog output but it will be restricted to standard definition only. As well as the benefit of a standard interface, HDMI does one other thing that is less publicized: HD content can now be encoded to prevent the signal being extracted and copied. A system called HDCP protects the content and prevents pirating of HD discs or broadcast material. For this reason, there are no devices on general sale that will allow HDMI based signals to be converted to any other format. HDMI and HDCP licenses are granted on the basis that equipment is not produced that allows non encoded signals to be intercepted. If any device is seen that promises to defeat HDCP protection, then beware; the device is likely to be a fake but if it really does work, it may well be illegal to use in certain jurisdictions.
HDMI is a type of cable used for domestic high definition television signals. All Bluray players use HDMI as their HD connection to televisions but there is no such thing as an HDMI player.
The cable is needed for sound and Picture and must be replaced with A/V Cable. To disconnect simply remove HDMI cable from back of HDTV and PS3
Any HDMI cable will do. There aren't any variations in the cables
The player requires an HDMI cable
The PS3 with a HDMI cable and a HDTV is better, but neither is needed unless you want 1080P and then both are needed
You would need a hdmi cable, and a hdmi capable monitor.
If your car has an HDMI output, then yes, you absolutely can.
NO, a HDMI cable is just a HDMI cable. The 240 stuff is just hype.
Simplest way is to use a HDMI cable. I have a long cable reaching from my computer to my TV. I have to change the screen selection (Fn/F7) to select that screen.
If your surround receiver has HDMI, connect an HDMI cable from the NeoTV to the receiver, and then HDMI out the receiver to the TV. If you don't have HDMI on your receiver, you can connect an optical cable from the NEOTV to the surround receiver.
if it fits the hdmi port it should work fine either way.
An HDMI port, and a HDMI cable are required for a Roku player for both audio and visual. The audio cable should come with the Roku player itself, and if it does not, it can be purchased online from a variety of retailers.
