Yes, drinking any alcohol affects you tremendously when you have Diabetes. Alcohol has loads of sugar in it and the alcohol reacts differently when mixed with insulin. In my opinion if you are going to drink be careful and dont over do it, this is one situation in which you could die from one night of drinking

When drinking beer or any other liquors beverage and you are a diabetic it will usually make your sugar level go higher than normal. I would recoded not to drink any sort of liquor if you are or might think you are a diabetic. If you have any signs of a diabetic or think you might be one consult a doctor.

Beer is alcoholic, so it's automatically worse for you than a soda. However, no drink with that much carbohydrates is good for a diabetic. Read the nutrition label and see how many carbs are in your food and drink, and you can make a better nutritional choice for your health.
