These laws are fair. A song for example is not a concrete item like a watch or car. Stealing someone's music is very much like stealing their watch or car. These laws protect the rights of artists.

my reason:

No one wants their stuff stolen or copied when the don't have permission to. People still somehow find ways to not explain where they got their info from, and lets face it, we are all not experts on everything. We all at some point had to learn this information.
