Yes. Supine, S"up"ine. You are laying face "up". Horizontal is parallel to the floor (so you are laying flat). Recumbent means laying. Prone is also laying horizontally (face down), but Supine is the position that is one also called Horizontal Recumbent.

Yes, the horizontal recumbent position is the same as the supine position. Both terms refer to lying flat on one's back with the face and torso facing upward.

Is the recumbent exercise bike better than the semi-recumbent exercise bike?

Well a "semi-recumbent" fits about halfway between an upright and a full recumbent. Recumbent bikes have a chair like seat and many models have handlebars next to the seat as well as in front of the seat, and also provide better back support, the Semi-Recumbent exercise bikes are the same design as recumbent except the seat position is higher you are in a more upright (less recumbent) position,

When lying in supine does one produces much urine?

The body produces pretty much the same amount of urine in any position, but the bladder discharges from the bottom. Ergo the supine position would prevent it from emptying fully, logically leading to more frequent but less productive urination.

Why are beds rise in a horizontal position to transport patients?

Patients are transported on Horizontal beds so that they do not put any pressure on any broken bones and mainly so that their head and neck can be kept in the same place easier. The reason they are not transported on vertical beds (besides being silly) is because it is harder to keep their bodies is a safe position.

How do recumbent exercise bikes compare to treadmills?

It doesn't really matter much. What's far more important is how hard, how long and how often you exercise. Pretty much every activity that gets you equally sweaty and winded will burn the same amount of calories and provide the same workout. I find it harder to get a good pedal stroke on recumbents, as you end keeping some pressure on both feet in order to keep the feet on the pedals. Likewise the big backrest to brace against may prompt a person to pedal slower but harder, which isn't such a hot idea.
