In primary school, students are 6 to 10 or 11. That is much too young to be thinking about dating, though some might disagree. You only get one chance to be a child and once it's over, it's over for good. Enjoy it while you can. You'll have plenty of time to date later.

Not by definition, but in general, yes. Dating is an institution intended to help people choose life partners, but too many people date just for fun and frequently end up hurting people who are actually looking for someone to spend their life with (not that two people who both have that intent can't hurt each other, they can). But dating in primary school is rarely a good idea because of this institution. The statistics on marriage of a high school sweetheart are very low, and prospects for a primary school sweetheart even worse. Just be careful, and consider why you would want to date... It might be better to be very close friends, and keep the option of dating in the future open.
