Yes. I know it is disappointing, but the graduation is just the ceremony. The registrar still has to enter your grades from your classes and to make sure you have completed all requirements for your degree. Your degree will arrive in a few weeks.

∙ 8y agoYes, it's quiet normal to receive an empty diploma case during the commencement ceremony. The reason many Schools & Universities do this is because of the number of graduates. It would be very insulting to receive a diploma that does not have your name on it. Therefore, to prevent the wrong diploma being given, all diplomas are kept to be given at the end.
With Colleges & Universities, degrees usually arrive roughly two-six weeks after graduation. The reason for this is that even though you've been certified to receive your diploma based on the Universities records, they must confirm your graduation requirements with the clearinghouse. This process can take a little time when you have a graduating class of 1000+ people.
At the end, don't fear. You're still a graduate.
