its illegal To Kill a Mockingbird because they dont mess up your gardens are nest in corn crobs and they just sing
Mocking birds symbolise peace, innocence and tranquility in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. If Tom Robinson was innocent (and he clearly was) then he should never have been killed. So also, the innocent mockingbirds should never be killed. It is a shame when people think too highly of themselves and do not have any feelings of these innocent birds. They deserve a life just like Tom Robinson did. I personally think that killing an innocent mockingbird should be punished with the death sentence. They are innocent, you will be guilty, without doubt if you kill one of these precious, tranquil, amazing, gorgeous, glorious birds. Long live the mockingbirds!

No, killing a mockingbird is not a crime in the literal sense. In the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, the mockingbird is a symbol of innocence and it is said that it is a sin to kill one because they do nothing but sing beautiful songs. So, the title is more symbolic than literal.

It isn't illegal but it is considered a sin because they don't harm anyone, they just fly around and sing. Why would you kill something that hasn't done anything wrong? Both Boo Radley and Tom Robinson are considered the mockingbirds in To Kill a Mockingbird because they haven't hurt anyone yet they are unfairly treated.

The book doesn't say it's illegal, but Atticus says it would be a sin to kill a mockingbird because all they do is sing beautiful music for us.

i don't think you can. the mockingbird is Texas' bird and it is illegal to hurt this bird in any way on purpose. if it was an accident then you will still need to pay some kind of fine, but it won't be as expensive as it is when you kill one on purpose. usually you go to jail for killing a mockingbird. so no, you can't.

Does Scout find a baby mockingbird that dies in To Kill a Mockingbird?

No, no dead mockingbird is found in the book. Atticus talks about how killing a mockingbird is a sin because they don't do anything to harm anybody they actually help us by singing songs. They also say that it would be like killing a mockingbird to tell anybody that Boo Radley really killed Bob Ewell. Not only that, they also say that it is a sin to kill Tom Robinson who was actually helping out. There are 2 mockingbirds- Tom Robinson & Boo Radley. The mockingbird is very symbolic- it has little to do literally with the plot of the story. Instead, a mockingbird represents themes such as innocence, and 'to kill a mockingbird' is to destroy something innocent.
