I take it you are refurring to the ability for the the cell to hold lots of water. Herterotrophs do not have a cell wall so their ability to hold water is very minimal, they get to a certain stage and if they cant carry any more they burst. Autotrophes have got cells walls so their ability to hold the water is a lot more. They will hold as much water as they can but they will not bursts due to the effectiveness of the cell wall holding the cell together.

I believe that it is a hetrotroph. Heterotrophs must get their food molecules from another organism by eating it or by absorbing the nutrition (animals, fungi, protozoa, slime molds, some bacteria).

No, unless you put the mold in contact with an opposite figure. That means you need to put the mold in a special spot where all the fungus is made harmless to your immune system. That could take years to find the perfect object though...
