Depending on what purpose you will be using your Bachelor's for, be it for applying for employment to a company in the United States, or to further your education. You would have to consult the US Department of Education and the company, or school you are applying for.

Is university of science arts and technology Montserrat blacklisted?

The USAT is an authorized institution and registered in B.W.I and Motserrat College of Medicine listed on the IMED/FAIMER as far as it is pubicly know.So the ecfmg grants you a sit for USMLE examination after graduation. However in the past some people acting on behalf of the USAT was making commerce with diplomas and degrees falsely claimed that came genuine from the University.Due to the time of operations maintained by this people, there was generated a opinion stream that USAT could be selling degrees but that is not true, I can asure, at leas with Medical degrees. To be listed on the IMED/ FAIMER the Institution has to comply with a set of requirements, that o can consult at the FAIMER website. And in the Caribbean region, most of the accreditation process are VOLUNTARY with all it means, implications and outcomes. Do not be confused with such so-called intitutions that promise uncertain and wonderful things under the accreditation umbrella, cause most of the time thay can not sustain the academic offer they promote.USAT is a small institution, but solid, growing step by step but honest.Maybe one of the few Carribean Medical Schools that aren´t totally business oriented. Certainly has to improve in some areas, but other areas, (the material for students training) I can assure that are very strong (scientific, academic and educational speaking) Good luck

How many certified executive chef in the US?

That's hard to impossible to answer. Each country has its own certification mechanisms and applies different standards to the obtaining and maintaining of the title. Germany's Industrial and Trade Chamber (IHK) reports 4320 masters, the Swiss "Eidgenössischer Handelsverband" 2380, and the Austrian "Verband der Köche" 1438. It's important to understand that only masters in Germany are allowed to take on apprentices and most apprentices go on to become masters after seven years of industry experience. The ACF does not provide numbers for its certification, but there's a list of all certified chefs (Certified Executive, Certified Master, etc.) which shows 560 members. American certifications are, however, vastly different from the European system and similar in name only. Turkey and Spain have their own Master Chef diplomas which are similar in nature to the German/Swiss one. Numbers are hard to come by but I'd place the overall somewhere in the low 100s for Turkey and high 100s for Spain. The title simply does not convey as much experience and does not lend itself to better employment which is why few pursue it. Other than that... it's hard to put a firm number down.

Will you need to be licensed to be a graphic designer?

Technically, no. There isn't a graphic design license like there is, say, a medical license. However, you will have a really hard time getting a job without a degree, whether it is an Associate's degree or a B.A., unless you are incredibly creative and awesome. You need to learn the things that are taught in classes at college for graphic design to understand the business and technical aspects better, rather than just the creative aspect of graphic design. Anybody can be creative. Of course, having a B.A. may look better than having an Associate's degree. A lot of training will also occur on the job. Lots of agencies and in-house agencies will spend quite a bit of time training new employees, not necessarily on how to design, but how to do things the way they are done at that particular agency. It also helps a lot if you are Adobe certified. Adobe offers training specific to their products and you can take individual classes on a single product or a combination. You will have to study, demonstrate your knowledge, and complete an exam in order to be certified. It's not necessary but it certainly looks good on a resume. You could always just be a freelance graphic designer. It is sometimes more difficult to get your name out there without a prestigious agency (or a company of an in-house agency) backing you. Doing freelance doesn't require any certification, but like was mentioned before, it will be a lot more difficult for you without the educational background. Have worked as a Graphic Designer for 20 years both in Europe and the USA and have never heard of anybody needing a license to work as a Graphic Designer. To get specific jobs you might need to have certain degrees or diplomas both there is no licensing involved.

Is diploma equivalent to a degree in Jamaica?

If the question is in relation to Jamaica in the West Indies, then you have diplomas of different types. You have professional diplomas, some of which are considered equivalent to a Bachelors Degree; you have post-graduate diplomas that are post-Bachelors, post-masters, or post-doctoral degrees; then you have 1,2,3 year diplomas that are not equivalent to degrees but can be used to assess credit and exemptions for a Bachelors Degree or Bachelors Completion Degree. It can get a bit complicated. So for each diploma make sure you ask, so you know beforehand which category it falls into. There is also the University Council of Jamaica to check with to sort it all out.
