Is social security number required to apply for life insurance?
Yes we can. This is how I did it: I first apply for a SECUREDcredit card at a local bank for $500 dollars. In the following 3years I had been depositing more money to my secur…ed account untilit went from the original $500 to $3,100 dollars. That was the costof a computer I wanted to pay online. After those three years, Ireceived a letter (I didn't do nothing nor asked for nothing) mybank send me a letter stating that for my good credit handling theywere exchanging my secured credit card for a real credit card.Since then I have own a credit card and I kept getting increases inmy limit (right now is about $14,000) and even a credit line withthe bank which I'm paying. I don't have a social security number,I'm a Mexican, and I live in Mexico, just across the border. Mycredit card is a Mastercard and my bank is Wells Fargo.

When you apply, to make sure you are the right "John Smith", run background and credit checks...and probably operationally for other reasons, like establishing your file…s, etc. If you get employed, anyplace, you have to provide it for payroll, tax and benefit purposes....and much more, to prove your legally able to work in the US. All are not only OK but required by law.

What can I do if my moms name is misspelled on her life insurance policy with the correct social security number?
Answer The insurance policy should have the company's name on the front cover. Get the number and call the national home office number, or the local office if you… can find it. An agent will prepare a revised copy.

You can't receive Social Security retirement benefits and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits at the same time. SSDI provides monthly benefits to people who a…re under full retirement age (age 65 or older) and who meet other requirements. Once you reach full retirement age, which is based on the year you were born, the Social Security Administration will automatically transfer your disability benefits to retirement benefits. Your monthly benefit amount will not change as a result of this transfer.
Two reasons. 1. Many Insurance Companies use your credit score to determine your financial stability and the rate you ultimately pay. 2. If you have a claim, the insurer… is required to report to the I.R.S. who it sends all those claims checks out to every year.
