Basically, yes. Both are different subspecies of Canis lupus.
yes
The Yukon Wolf (also known as the Alaskan Black Wolf, Alaskan Wolf and Interior Alaskan Wolf; Canis lupus pambasileus) is considered to be the largest gray wolf species in the world, weighing around 150 to 170 lbs (68 to 77 kg) at maturity. However, the Alaskan Tundra Wolf (Canis lupus tundrarum) is thought to be the the heavier version of the Yukon Wolf, with their weight around 180 lbs (80 kg).
Gray and grey are basically the same words, just that "gray" is the american derivation of "grey". So, both ways are acceptable and are the same wolf.
there are two species of wolves. the red wolf and the gray wolf. the mexican gray wolf is a type of gray wolf. so they are actually the same but the mexican gray wolf just specifies the region its in whereas the gray wolf is more of an umbrella term. :)
Yes it is. The Arctic wolf is a subspecies of the Gray/Timber Wolf, with the taxonomic name of Canis lupus arctos. It is not to be confused with the Alaskan Tundra wolf, Canis lupus tundrarus, which bears the same coat colouration of all-white fur like the Arctic wolf does.
The timber wolf is a race of the gray wolf.
The largest wolf on record was a male Alaskan gray wolf which weighed 175 pounds. That was recorded back in 1944.
A Timber wolf and a Gray wolf are the same species, just with a different names. Timber wolves refer to a specific region, and Gray wolves is a more general term for all northern wolves. So it really depends which gray wolf you're looking at.
The same air as you do.
No, an Alaskan Malamute is a breed of dog. Although, it is a northern breed and so is distantly related to the timber wolves of North America.
Pretty much everywhere. Mainly away from cities and towns. From Wolf Girl :)
All domestic dogs as well as the dingo of Australia are the same species as the gray wolf.
Well, they both are endangered and they both live in forests. I'm guessing family or country. They are part of the same Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Caniformia, Family, and Genus (Canis). The gray wolf is canis lupus; the red wolf is canis rufus.
