- In many cases a married man will use excuses such as: 'my wife doesn't understand me'; 'she is frigid and denies me sex'; 'she puts me down and depresses me'; 'she has cheated on me.' Most of the time they are lame excuses in hopes of bringing out the nurturing aspect of the woman he wants to see and it generally works as most women can be very nurturing and often feel sorry for him. Married men who cheat have nothing but a sexual relationship on their mind for whatever excuse they give. The 'mistress' is the one that loses out because the married man will either continue on with his mistress until his wife finds out or, he may simply go back to his wife and may cheat on her with someone else. Even if he became divorced the percentage of marrying his mistress is very low.
