I think after 70, all the 340 high performance cars had 727's. The Hemi box, was the only tranny, that I know of anyway, that was limited to certain motors.
Yes it will. Up to the year 2000, All Chevy transmissions have the same bolt patteren. Big and small blocks, even the 6 cylinders and the 4 cylinders. It does not matter. Except a 727 is a Chrysler/dodge transmission.

the 727 was to only trans on big blocks in the 70's
no you cant as I have found out the re stands to electronic shift that the 727 does not have
torque flight 727
It depends on what for engine is in the motor home If it's a big block and you want to put it on a small block you will have to change the bell housing And with out a doubt the transmission mount I am sure it mounts different in moter home. But it can be done. You can put a Chevy alternator on a dodge if you know what your doing, I'm not trying to be a smart a-- I've done it Good luck!
It may bolt to the block, but the plugs, driveshafts, etc will not fit.It may bolt to the block, but the plugs, driveshafts, etc will not fit.
It takes just regular tranny fluid.

It depends on which engine you have, Slant 6's and 318 & 360 can have A904 or A727 for the automatics and all the big block 440''s use the 727
