I don't think that tehir is a state in which you could get married without you parents consent or a judge agreeing.

you are too young to get marry, why don't you wait alittle, if your fiance loves you, he would wait for you to turn 18, and i guess that it would be the best thing to do, why don't you enjoy your freedom for a little more.

I'm 16 1/2 and my boyfrind asked to marry him and even though i want to get marry with him because i love him and we have been together for almost 3 years. after talking to him he has agree with me, and we have decided to wait until i turn 18 years old to get married with him, I think he loves me and he would wait.he's the perfect boyfriend, but he's 29 years old.

Good luck... and you should wait, in my opinion you are going to fast.

AnswerThere are no states that allow a minor under 18 to marry without parental or court permission without some extenuating circumstances. There are a couple that will allow a pregnant teenager to get married without parental permission, but most of them still require a court order.

There are very few states where a 14 year old can get married even with her parent's consent.

By the way, even though you didn't ask about this, I just thought I'd mention that the age of sexual consent in most states is 16 (in some it's as high as 18), so I urge the young man to keep that in mind, because if he breaks the law (and you're not!), he can be arrested, tried, and if convicted, sent to prision.

AnswerJust think about how perverted this question sounds. "Is there anywhere a 14-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man can get married...". First of all, she's a GIRL! Even if she was dating someone it should be a BOY, not a MAN. Maybe when she's 27 and you're 40, that'd be okay. But at this point the girl is a teenager and her feelings are going to change. My dad told me about his first week of high school when he met this guy and was sure he would be his best friend for life. After a month he absolutely hated the guy. If the guy is the one who asked the question, I think he should seriously rethink this whole thing. Girls get especially attached to their "first", whether they love them or not. Parents usually have their kids best interest in mind, so I think that should tell you something. For all you know the girl is scared to death that you'll hurt her if she tells you she doesn't want to marry you, and was hoping that if her parents said no you'd leave her alone. My advice is to leave the poor girl alone. I think if you're meant to be together you'll run into each other when it's legal and you both want to get married. Did you ever think that maybe the reason it's illeagal is because everyone wants to protect little girls from creepy men like you?

Were both post from the same person? If so, in NC, if you're 15, you would have to get a court order in order to get married.

You didn't say what he's in trouble for, but why would you think that getting married would get him out of trouble? If your mother has allowed you to be with him (although why she'd do that is beyond me) then I assume he's not in trouble because of his relationship with you.

He's in trouble for statutory rape. and yes the post was from the same person.(me)The court pressed charges but my mom did not. so that's why i ask if it would get him out of trouble.

Oh, I see. No, marrying him will not have any effect on the statutory rape charges, because the crime was commited prior to the marriage.

That's not what his lawer said. He said that as long as we don't get caught together, and we get married then once we're married then that cant charge him because i became a spouse.

There are no states that would allow such a union w/o the consent of the parents or legal guardian. The reference to another country is irrelevant for the most part. For instance if the couple believed they could go to Canada or Mexico get married and return, they would not need documentation to enter but they need a passport to return to the U.S. In regards to a minor they would not only need a passport but other documentation. For example when traveling with only one parent, that parent would have to show proof of custody or a notarized statement of permission from the absent parent. In other words, it can't be done. If somehow the couple managed to negotiate governmental regulation, the marriage would not be recognized as valid in the U.S., because it was obtained using fraudulent means. In case you are considering obtaining a passport, a minor needs their parent(s) or legal guardian accompanying them when applying.

No. You are underage and not an adult. Your parents are still responsible for your bills, schooling, food, clothing, and anything else you may need or want. You can not sign a contract, buy a car, rent an house or apartment or even rent a motel room. You can "think" you are engaged but it is not real. If you are serious about this then stay in school, grow up, and when you are old enough and still "in love" you can be "real" about having an engagement .

No. But the 25-year-old male can be prosecuted and incarcerated for being involved in such a relationship with a minor.
