This isn't like Facebook but little kids we love clubpeguin.com.These are two very close to Facebook FBFkids.com and FBFkiddies.com
There is a fun Social Networking Site designed for kids that is similar to Facebook. They have games and other fun things integrated into their site. It is called Kidswirl.com your kids would probably love it!

There is also a website called hi5.com. It isn't targeted specifically for kids, but it is less popular, so there is less of a chance of child inappropriate things popping up. It is also more gaming centered, and features a lot of the same games that facebook has (I can't remember what games there were, but things like farmville and mafia wars are there, I believe). It's a way to play facebook games in a non-fb setting.
Club Penguin, at www.clubpenguin.com
Kids pick a penguin character to represent themselves. Upon logging in each session, they choose a server (they can coordinate with friends to be on together), then their avatar moves around a visual enviroment, where they can play games, acquire objects, and chat with other penguins.
The Chat feature is controlled to keep kids from giving addresses, phone numbers, email, etc. If you want to be super-safe, you can sign your child up so that they can only chat by selecting from pre-written phrases.
My 10 and 8 year olds like Club Penguin, it seems to be very popular in the 5th grade, anyway.

< i think that about 20% of the world has a facebook. 19% of them are grown-ups and the rest are kids under the age of 12 who has a facebook.
Kids under 13 are prohibitted from having a Facebook account. For kids older than that who have Facebook accounts, it does in some ways make it easier to be hurtful to others by posting mean things that many other kids could read.
Yes do not believe everything you here bad you here about facebook. I personally think you should let your kids be social
No not that I know of, But Its always up to a supervisor, parent or guardian to decide If you are allowed facebook, or not. You have to ask yourself why do you want facebook?
No, lots of bullying can happen with that. It is not the best idea.
