There is a great deal of conflicting information about this. Here is a direct link to the relevant page on the French SNCF website: http://www.voyages-sncf.com/guide/voyageurs/pdf/consigne_gare.pdf Even if you don't speak French, you should be able to see that there are automatic lockers at Gare du Nord, costing 4/7/9.5 euros (depending on size) for up to 48 hours (possibly 72 hours). Please note the disclaimer comment at the bottom - the lockers may be temporarily unavailable for security reasons.

No! Coin operated left luggage lockers were closed in France after bombing incidents in the 90's. ( i just copied from another site ) Hope this helps!
