Hi
I should say no. Yahoo.com is not a Meta search engine.
A meta search engine is a search engine without the web crawler and indexer part. the web crawler is the part which search the internet and goes to every page by using the links in pre pages. crawlers use random o none random seed pages to find their links to other pages and tries to look uo to every page that it has cached before in order to keep its information updated.
and the indexer is the part which derives the information which it wants out of the pages to use them in finding results.
Meta search engine does not have these two parts.
A good way to find out if a search engine is a meta or not is to see if it uses other.
some meta search engines are:
Dogpile
Web crawler
ixquick
carrot2
yahoo
Some META search engine examples are:DogpileLycosASKwhich compile data usually from the major search engines like Google, Yahoo & Bing.
A meta-search engine is one that uses search results from other engines. Yahoo! is the only one that is a search provider. The others all compile results from two or more search providers.
All major search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and Yandex use meta tags.
Search engine usually have their own database of sites they craw and list in their database, for example Google, Yahoo, Ask. Meta Search Engines usually do not have their own database of crawled sites, they search the databases of real search engines, usually many search engines at the same time, and provide you results. So a meta search engine will give you results from say Yahoo and Google, some meta search engines do have database of sites submitted to them. Example of a meta search engine is DogPile.
meta search engine is on page Seo , if you want to meta search engine work then you have analaysis website coding and check all meta keyword , this type you have to work in meta keyword.
Your yahoo search engine will remain intact. There will be no affect on the yahoo engine.
Meta search is the ability to search several services such as Google and Yahoo simultaneously with a single query and return the top results from the entire lot of search queries.
The search engine visits billions of websites and creates a database or repository of sorts of the various sites. As it turns out a search engine that searches multiple sites but not the entire web is also known as a meta search engine (although the definition is not very popular). Google Custom Search Engines (CSE's) are an excellent example of such search engines. The part of meta search engine includes Meta tag, Meta description, Meta data etc.
Yes, Google's flagship service is a search engine. Of course, Google is a very popular, and easy, search engine. ____________ I use Google a lot for asking questions or looking for certain websites I don't know the exact name of. It is, by far, the best search engine on the net I've used.
Yahoo became a proper search engine in 2004 A.D.
I think a meta-search engine uses another search engine/s to to look for its results so it does not have necessarily have to crawl and index all the Internet web pages.
