That is a hard question to answer. Some of these airfields are still in use today and their names have been classified. There were so many airfields that records could not accurately secure names.
They are a group of African American pilots that flew during WW2. They were part of the 332nd fighter group with the air corps. The Tuskegee Airmen, the popular name of a group of black pilots who flew with distinction during World War II as the 332nd Fighter Group of the US Army Air Corps
Tuskegee Airmen .
No, he is not. The Kamikaze troops were a group of Japanese fighter pilots during World War II, who were willing to die rather than be captured. Obviously there is no evidence the president is Japanese, nor did he fight in World War II.
The squadron patch for the 322 Fighter Group is a deck of cards with all aces. I don't know their nick name. However, I think you mean the 332 Fighter Group. They were the Tuskegee Airmen or the "Red Tails". A google search show many places where people have confused the 322 FG with the 332 FG.
During the world cup Slovakia was in group F.
That heroic group of airmen were called the Tuskegee Airmen. They have their own website which is fascinating. See the link below.
The Tuskegee Airmen, officially USAAF 332nd Fighter Group.
The Tuskegee Airmen. The nickname was not exclusive to their fighter group - the 477th Bombardment Group shared the nickname, as well.
I have the Order of Battle, Station Locations, names of Commanders, Campaigns & Decorations awarded to the 370th Fighter Grp. during WW 2. Richard V. Horrell WW 2 Connections.com The Group History on the 370th Fighter Group was published in the Spring of 2003 by Schiffer Military Publishers. It was authored by the grandson (Jay Jones) of one of the pilots in the 402nd Fighter Squadron which was one of three squadrons in the 370th (401st, 402nd and 485th). It is a big boo with lots of pictures , stories by veterans and drawings that relate to the Group and is one of the best group histories out there.
The 477th Bombardment Group (medium bombers, B-25) never saw combat as a bomber group, but many of it's pilots were combat veterans of fighter groups in the ETO.
The Tuskegee AirmenExcept they were not the "332nd Fighter Corps" but the "332nd Fighter Group".They were also known very often as "The red tailed Angels." Because the Mustangs they flew when they acted as fighter escorts had red tails.Throughout their careers as Fighter escorts the 332nd never lost a single bomber, and their first fighter escort mission was over Berlin.
Fighter aircraft are in a flight, wing, or squadron.
