***I AM NO MECHANIC***, but I am the owner of a 1998 Pontiac Firebird myself, and this is what I might speculate: It sounds like a possible dead battery which- if not caught/determined quickly enough -may have inadvertently killed the alternator. That or the third possibility is a dead starter motor (about $400 shop repair).
WHAT I MIGHT SUGGEST/THE CHEAPEST THING TO TRY: Cleaning off the battery terminals with a brush. Disconnect the negative & positive cables, looking for white powdery corrosion. Sometimes corrosion will keep the battery from kick starting the engine.
Pontiac made the Firebird car. Pontiac started making the Firebird in 1967, and the latest model was produced in 2002.
Dead battery; you left the lights on, didn't you?
Not that is not true. They used gold Pontiac Firebird Esprits. Started with 76 models then went to 78 models. They never used the 79 model. Three cars were used each season. They all had Firebird Formula engines but were all Esprits.
I would start with the the fan relay swith... swap it with another. It could be stuck in the open position. Try removing it and then starting.
pontiac first started out in 1926
You may want to check the fuel filter. these cars also have a fuel pump relay, I have the same problem with my car. have you gotten yours fixed yet? I'm just getting started on mine.

Answerthe coolant temperature sensor could be bad and not sending a signal to the fan relay to tell the fan to kick on.does anybody have a picture of the location for a 1994 3.4L potiac firebird?
The football game started in a wet afternoon.
