On July 19 Apollo 11 passed behind the Moon and fired its service propulsion engine to enter lunar orbit. In the thirty orbits[6] that followed, the crew saw passing views of their landing site in the southern Sea of Tranquility (Mare Tranquillitatis) about 20 kilometers (12 mi) southwest of the crater Sabine D (0.67408N, 23.47297E). The landing site was selected in part because it had been characterized as relatively flat and smooth by the automated Ranger 8 and Surveyor 5 landers along with the Lunar Orbiter mapping spacecraft and unlikely to present major landing or extra-vehicular activity (EVA) challenges.[7]

Apollo 8 was the first one to send astronauts to orbit the moon, but they did not land on it. Apollo 11 was the first manned lunar landing.
thaks
No one. No woman has been on the moon to date.
One fact is the first man on the moon first stepped on the moon with his left foot.
If one thinks a Moon landing is the arrival of an intact (i.e not a crash into the Moon) unmanned spacecraft onto the Moon's surface, then the Russians were the first to do this in 1966 However, if one thinks of a Moon landing as the arrival and return of a manned spacecraft onto the Moon's surface then the people of US were the first to do this in 1969. No other nation has yet made a manned moon landing.
The first moon landing rocket that brought humans to the moon was Apollo 11, with all the flights before like Apollo 10, including the Gemini and Mercury Projects being test flights leading up to this one. The rocket was able to successfully land Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon and bring them back.
The Americans were the first human beings to ever land on the moon on 7/20/69. That is when Armstrong said the famous words when he walk on the moon, "One small step for man, one GIANT leap for mankind" Hope that helps :)It was the date of the first moon landing, when Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin set foot on the moon.
I'm not sure what you are asking but he didn't land first on the moon, he was the first one out of the space craft to set foot on the moon.
No, the moon landing was not faked.
The area of the moon that man first walked on is called "Tranquility Base", because it was located in the Mare Tranquilatis area of the moon - one of the safest (and dullest), areas of the lunar surface. Being the first moon landing, NASA was taking no chances, hence the landing area was de facto "dull". This happened on July 20th, 1969. The Guinness Book of World Records called it "The greatest human achievement of the 20th century".
Apollo 11 landed on the "Sea of Tranquility".And now, one from the lighter side: The light side!
The words were That's one small step for man one giant leap for mankind.
