- If you are under the age of 18 then no, you do not have the right while under your parents roof to go out with your friends just anywhere. Young people just hanging around looking for something to do can get into all kinds of trouble. You should earn the trust of your parents by telling them exactly where you are going (tell the truth) and eventually you will earn more freedom. Parents don't try to make their children miserable by making strict rules all the time and it's about loving their children and keeping them out of harms way for as long as they can.
