Dash lights and tailights on many cars are fused together; someone tapped into this circuit for power to the radio and has caused a short. Unhook the power lead for the radio and splice it into its own circuit and the problem will go away. I hope this helps you. Mark
Hey LaMarcus==There is a short somewhere. You need to get a wiring diagram as I am quite sure the radis is supposed to be on a separate fuse not wired with the lights. GoodluckJoe
might have a short in the wiring to the light socket!! same happen to me...
Problem Solved: The previous owner installed the incorrect tail/turn/stop light bulbs. The bulbs had only one filiment instead of two. All is working perfectly now. Don't go to Walmart to find auto parts. Go to a REAL part store!
The switch or button for the fog lights could be shorting out (water got in?). or there is an exposed wire you aren't aware of...a positive wire touching ground, or corrosion somewhere in the circuit.
I am having this same problem. The lights for the license plate don't work either. I have had two mechanics suggest to me that I replace the HeadLight Switch. I am thinking about ordering one on Monday.
the brake light driver side not working
check for blown fuses
why is my dash board lights not working
The brake lights in your 1983 Nissan pickup truck are controlled by the brake light relay switch. When the brake light relay switch malfunctions the brake lights will stop working.
It is standard only in Canada. It is dealer installed anywhere else.
Check the radio/Acc fuse...
If the interior and parking lights are not working on a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder, the first fuses to check would be the interior light fuse. Also check to make sure the light switch is in the right position to allow the interior lights to come on.
I have same problem.
Someone knocked a wire loose.
short in the wiring behind your aftermarket radio
Make sure fuse is installed and not loose - same fuse controls parking/tail and dash lights
Turn the knob that controls the dash light brightness and watch the lights. If they flicker instead of slowly changing brightness you may have a faulty switch. I had the turn signal/headlight switch replaced and it resolved this for me My dash quit working for months, would keep blowing fuse. One day I Noticed reverse lights not working. Found wire coming from reverse switch on transmission rubbed through/shorting out. Nissan had bare wire running thru fold over tabs with nothing around it! Russell in Mississippi
