The meal will stick to the catfish and will stick during cooking. Add the basil to the hushpuppies as well, it makes them ssoooooo good. If you don't like it, I'll give your money back.

As they fed them, the men would say, "hush puppies." I don't know how true that story is, but it came from a vintage 1940's era wood-covered souvenir cookbook that my mother had when I was a girl.
