The JW book Let God Be True 1946 says that each of the seven days of creation was 7000 years long Do you agree Why?

Whether that book actually says that or not, I will have to take your word for it. I have seen the book in some older JW libraries, my grandparents included, but I have never read it, and it is not regarded by JW's to be relevant at this time. Proverbs 4:18 says that,"the path of the righteous ones is like the bright light that gets lighter and lighter." In view of this, we expect that some ideas we held may have to be adjusted at times. We believe that while The Bible is the infallable word of God, our understanding of it is not infallable. Because of this, later publications may have adjusted viewpoints on ths matter. I searched through the newest publications and found no specified time period spoken of for the creative days. Here is some newer information from the Watchtower Society regarding the creative days; From the Reasoning on the Scriptures publication: "So, too, the Bible often uses the term "day" to describe an extended period of time. (Compare 2 Peter 3:8.) Thus the 'days' of Genesis chapter 1 could reasonably be thousands of years long. But then again it couldn't really, because the next part of the verse cancels itself out!" Read the whole verse next time! and from AWAKE! magazine, September 2006, page 19: "How long, then, were the creative days? The wording of Genesis chapters 1 and 2 indicates that the bible is the infallible Word of God and therefore means what it says: the days of creation were six literal days." Other current publications use similar unspecified wording, simply stating that the creative days were probably each thousands of years long. There is no longer a claim of each creative day being a specified length of time. From my own reading of the scriptures, I cannot find a way to calculate the length of the creative days either, though I haven't devoted any real time to such a calculation on my own. It is possible that since the Watchtower Society often will refer to different Bible translations and manuscripts wording to get a more complete picture of what is being discussed, there may have been a phrase in Genesis that was worded a certain way in a translation or a manuscript that may have in 1946 led them to draw such a conclusion, but later publications state that the creative days were an unspecified "thousands of years" or "considerable lengths of time" each.
