Alcohol is condisdered to be a poison and a toxin to the body. Alchohols major effects to the body are that of the Brain. When Alchohol is consumed it circulates around the body and eventually gets around to your brain. As you probably already know alcohol acts like a disinfectant and sterilization chemical. Alcohol that you drink has the same effect on the brain that it does to germs. In response to this the liver which acts like a filter to poisons and other parts of the body has to go into overtime to cleanse the toxins that were put into the body. This overloaded work for the liver can have major effects later in life including liver failure and the need for a liver transplant. Another effect that alcohol produces is neasue and dizzyness this is caused from alcohol killing part of your brain which makes you have that "drunk" feel. If to much alcohol is consumed you can actually can major brain damage and cause your brain altogether to stop working causing death. Most of the time though when you drink alot you pass out this is the onset to the brain shutting down non essential life sustaining functions such as consciousness.
