The Impact of Neurotransmitters on Human Behaviour
Firsty we need to understand the procedure which neurotransmitters are released to understand its impact on behaviour. When an electrical impulse travels down the axon of a neuron it releases a neurotransmitter which then crosses a gap, which is called a synapse.Neurotransmitters are the chemical messenger in the body that relay information from one neuron to another, keep that in mind. Neurotransmitters are stored in the terminal buttons. After crosssing the synapse, the neurotransmitters fit into the receptor sites, like a key to the lock. Then through this the neurotransmitter can change behaviour, as varied as mood, emotions, sexual arousal and mental illness.
Example Of a Neurotransmitter Effect on Behaviour:
Epinephrine (also known as Adrenaline), is responsible for alertness, attention and cognition. It is releases by the two adrenal Glands. Its the Neurotransmitter that helps in positions that call for the 'flight or fight' process, to either flee or fight whats before you. This neurotransmitter prepares your body for the threat and deals with it, either by fighting it or running away. Adrenaline increases the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain by increasing the activity of the heart.
The Impact Of Drugs On Human Behavior
Overtime, drugs could become an addiction just like caffeine, it's important to see how this is reflected in the brain.Drugs are like chemicals, they work in the brain by tapping into the brains communication system and interfering with the way nerve cells send, receive and process information. Some drugs like Heroine, mimic that of a natural Neurotransmitter, fooling the receptors into taking them in and activating the nerve cells. They do not do what the neurotransmitters are supposed to do, rather they lead to abnormal messages being transmitted through the system. And through such, the brain will get wrong messages and alter your usual behaviour, or like such as caffeine, when taking a huge amount you feel energised and happy and extremely awake but as it wears off you start to feel tired and less energised, such is the same with drugs. While taking in huge amounts, you release dopamine which brings much pleasure upon the intaker, and when it wears off they start to feel the effects of the aftermath.
Hope it helped :D
drugs can kill a person. and they make them illusinate really bad things and they can end up killing them selves because of it as well. and drugs make people really mental and naughty. like robbing and they cant walk propperly and they can do other effects too.
They make everything about the drug and what it can do for them they don't care what they have to do to get it
Puts you to super high then drops you to mega low. All you will be able to think about is the drug when the high wears off.
Almost every drug effects your thinking. Alcohol affects behavior. Drugs give you some flash backs.
what are the good effects of drugs
If you mean in terms of testing, nothing. Some depressant drugs will mimic some of the effects of alcohol as regards behavior, affect and physical symptoms.
Extremely rare allergic effects on some persons.
Addiction
All drugs are not cure. Some drugs may cure and leave some side effects. But others may worsen the ailments.
Asking a child if he/she is on drugs can lead to denial. Some exhibited behavior can include a change in behavior and eyes that seem to be bloodshot.
The effects of drugs are to alter, mimic, change, interfere, kill, stop, speed, accelerate, decelerate, etc. aspects of the both the physical/physiological body or produce central nervous system effects. On a general level, prescribed drugs (taken as directed) can relieve symptoms of viruses, bacterial illness, disease and pain. There are always side effects, and some people notice them more than others. Misuse of drugs often is due to these other side effects--mood changing, euphoria and so on. At this level, drugs can affect human behavior, lifestyle and relationships and may be addicting.
mind and talk
ood swings and sometimes depressed
It all depends what drugs you're talking about. Some can kill you (heroin, crack, etc.) while some have little to no long term effects (marijuana, LSD, etc.).
Drugs come with some serious side potential effects. The Effects of Drug addiction can harm the body in a variety of different ways, from health problems to behavioral problems.
