Three elements that are central to sustainable development?
There are three elements that are central to sustainable development. These are namely the environment, society, and lastly the economy.
Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of thepresent without compromising the ability of future generations tomeet their own needs. In other words, we ha…ve to live our lives (using water, electricity, coal, oil, fossil fuel, carbon dioxide, greenhousegases) in such a way that our children and our grandchildren andall the generations coming after them will also have the samechance of living a sustainable life. It follows then, that we have to make serious changes to ourlifestyle in the very near future, or there will be a very unhappyfuture for our children and grandchildren. We cannot keep going theway we are. The Bruntland Report (1983) was the first publication andrecognition of what the popular term "Sustainable development". Itoutlined 4 key figures. The main focus being " meeting theneeds of the present without compromising the needs of thefuture". It also talks about social justice, futurity and economic growth. A: Sustainable development can be defined as a development that meetsthe needs of the presents and still take the future generations inminds. A: A sustainable development is a where economy, society and theenvironment all balance out and can agree with each other so thatit is fair for everyone. A: Sustainable merely means that you can keep it up for generations. It is normally used with reference to the environment. As anexample, cutting trees for wood is sustainable if you don't cuttrees more quickly than they grow back. If the rate of cutting ishigher than the rate of growth, there will at some point be no moretrees - this is not sustainable. The same goes for hunting, fishingetc. - a sustainable rate is one where there will still be fishwhen our grandchildren grow old. A: In the context of industry, sustainable normally means that theindustry doesn't pollute so much that people eventually won't beable to live or grow food in the area. A: . Sustainable development means development without sacrificing the needs of the futuregeneration. . Sustainable development is an organizingprinciple for human life on a finite planet. It posits a desirablefuture state for human societies in which living conditions andresource-use meet human needs without undermining thesustainability of natural systems and the environment, so thatfuture generations may also have their needs met. . Refer to link below for more information. Sustainable development refers to development that can continueover a long period of time. Sustainable development takes intoconsideration environmental issues and embraces conservation.Sustainable development is when the use of resources by humans isaimed to ensure the sustainability of the environment while meetinghuman needs.
ANSWER by BipolarAttorney 02/07/08 Sustainable development is a term that refers to development that is environmentally conscious. There are numerous factors taken into acco…unt, including but not limited to: geographical development of the site, choice of building materials, energy conservation and waste reduction and recycling. Another related issue is the idea of "green design," which is somewhat analgous to "sustainable development."
Development that meets needs the of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Sustainable development is about creating everlasting emprovement through the provesion of ecological, social and economical combination in which will continue providing the i…mprovements and enhances the quality without an end of that. Alternative explanation: Sustainable development is an approach to meeting our present needs without compromising the needs of future inhabitants of the earth. The goal is to maintain a good and healthy lifestyle for as many people for as long as possible - potentially forever. Examples would be: Not using easy or cheap industrial processes that pollute the air or water when better less harmful processes are available, not destroying endangered eco-systems just because they are handy to present development, extracting new materials from ore at the expense of power and resources when recyclable materials are available. Tools in the pursuit of sustainable development are understanding the total impact of decisions, avoiding waste production, avoiding over consumption, appropriate conservation of resources against future needs, reclamation of damaged ecosystems, identification and use of renewable energy and material resources, energy and material reclamation and recycling, adopting lower impact lifestyles.
I think the correct answer to be said is , Preserving things as well as using it. eg. using water as well as saving it.
-integrating economic, social & environmental considerations.
Fuel such as wood, kindling such as paper, or dried pine needles, and combustion, such as a strike of flint or a match being struck. ZMAN OUT! Simple ....... . Wind . Ear…th . Fire Actually, the correct answer is 1) fuel, 2) ignition source, and 3) oxygen.
oxygen, carbon, hydrogen
Oxygen, a hydrocarbon (the fuel), heat (i.e. the fire must self-perpetuate itself) although this is not really an element. The main ingredient is the availability of oxygen.
Economy, society and environment are the three elements that arecentral to sustainable development. They could also be representedby the three P's- Profit, People and Planet.

1. suppose a particular country is quite developed we would like this level of development to go up further or at-least we maintained for future generation. 2. since the seco…nd half of the 20th century the no.of scientists have been warning that the type of levels of development are not sustainable. 3. ground water is an example of renewable resource. but if we use more than what is replenished by nature then we would be overusing this resource. 4. once the nonrenewable resources would be exhausted we wont be able to use in near future. so using the resources judiciously will help in maintaining the sustainability of our development of our economic system.

The main reasons why agriculture is the central element of civilization and development are: . Agriculture provides food to people who cannot or do not know how to grow, ga…ther or hunt for food themselves. It provides food for people who live in large cities where it is impossible to grow enough food to feed a family for a year. . Food provided to a large population by a small minority allow that large population to divulge in interests unrelated to agriculture, from school, health and government to construction, entertainment and tourism services. It also allows cities to be born and expand to the size they are at today. . People do not have to worry about how they are going to get their next meal. All they have to worry about is what to make for supper with the food they have already purchased from the grocery store. This allows more time spent with family and on hobbies and interests. . Abundance of food provides people with a feeling of security and safety that couldn't be had if there were constant fears of food shortage or food theft from other desperate hungry people. This causes chaos and goes against the order of civilization. . Agriculture provides stability to the economy. It also was responsible for the beginnings or the birth of the Economy as we know it today.
