All automatic transmissions have a PUMP in the front of them right behind the torque converter. Transmissions are designed to cool off by using transmission lines running from the transmission to the VEHICLE Radiator to cool the Transmission Fluid.
pan gasket, cooler lines, vent, front and rear seal.
Many automatic transmissions use a cooler inside the vehicles radiator to help maintain the transmissions temperature. The transmission pumps ATF thru the cooler. If a leak occurs in the trans cooler the ATF is pumped into the radiators coolant. The engine coolant can also mix with the trans ATF and enter the transmission the same way in which case would be fatal for the transmission.
Yes. All automatic transmissions have a hydraulic pump to engage the gears. Saturns are no different in that regard.
Right below the cooler.
A heat pump pumps heat in the direction you want it to.
It better have. Otherwise you need a new pump. And that is possible!
5 to 10 min
No... not unless it was installed aftermarket. It goes from the reservoir to the pump, then from the pump to the gearbox.
There are countless companies throughout the United States that sell remanufactured transmissions. If one wishes to sell remanufactured transmissions, one can either contact a local dealer, or if preferred, can venture out on their own, either contacting local mechanics or possible selling them direct to customers who might be restoring a car on their own.
One in the trans and there may be a filter on the cooler line if it had a trans replaced at the dealer or had a dealer reman installed.
Auto transmissions operate on pump pressure. The pump turns when the engine is running. This is why it leaks only when running.
oil does not circulate in the cooling system per-say but automatic transmissions do have a cooler built into the radiator that helps keep the transmission cooler. as for engine oil i don't believe that they have cooler built in the radiators. now if you see oil in your radiator that's a whole different story and it's not good.
