What kind of noise? Hum/click/rattle/knock/squeal?
This be a wide range of things does it make the noise when the vehicle is in park and you rev up the engine ? It could be a heat shield on the exhaust system. it does not make the noise if it is just idling....but if you press the gas it makes a noise and when ur driving it makes noise. But I had to put a flang where the header conects to the exaust cuz it was leaking and i thought that was where the noise was comin from but its still makin the noise.
the male ! The female is totaly silent, only the male makes noise. Out of the males the Australian Cicada is the loudest of them all
it could be your tires on the pavement.
It would help to specify the type of noise and type of vehicle in question.
Apply the parking brake, but not the driving brake, is the noise there? apply the brake,if the noise is only present when the brake is applied I would assume it is the anti-lock brake system. Get your VIN # of the vehicle and call a ford dealer and give them the # and ask if there are recalls for your vehicle. There are a few for this one but it depends on the vin. There is a anti-lock brake recall, but as I said it depends on where it was made if it falls under the recall.
When hamsters roll in the wheel it makes a noise, but only a very quiet one. If the hamster bumps into things ( which happens a lot ) it makes loud noises. If noise bothers you, hamster wheels on stands are available.
it could be the fuel pump
If this vehicle has a transaxle, the bearing can be bad and make this type of noise.
Determine when the squeaky noise is present. If it makes the noise only when the brakes are apllied then it probably is the brakes, machining the rotors may be necessary (if brake pads were installed but rotors not turned/machined). If it only makes noise over bumps then it could be in the suspension, maybe a strut or mount. If it only squeaks when turning the steering wheel it could be in the steering rack-n -pinion or tie rod ends. It may be necessary to use electronic chassis ears to pin point the source of the noise if nothing is found by a mechanic during a visual inspection on a vehicle lift.
Bad hub/bearing assembly. Replace it. 1) Cupped or feathered tire wear. If the noise moves when rotating tires, it's the tire. You may also need to replace the shocks or get a wheel alignment to prevent further tire damage. 2) Bad hub bearing. If the vehicle is 4WD, you can raise the truck off the ground (be careful and safe) and drive at speed to see if it makes the noise. If it makes the noise off the ground it is bad hub bearing, as a tire makes no noise off the ground. Sometimes the hub bearing won't either as it has no load on it, but that's usually only the case when it makes a rumble or growl noise.
Dead Battery
Because, it is colorful, bright, makes noise and is occasinally funny.....
