H. P. Lovecraft was in fact racist. He displays this racism in a number of different contexts and some of his poetry. I cannot post what he really said due to the publishing policy on this website, but I am sure you can figure it out. Here is one of the clearest examples displaying racism:
When, long ago, the gods created Earth,
In love's fair image Man was shaped at birth
The beasts for lesser parts were next designed;
Yet were they too remote for humankind.
To fill the gap, and join the rest to Man
The Olympian host conceiv'd a dever plan
A beast they wrought, in semi-human figure,
Filled it with vice, and called the thing a ******
-H.P. Lovecraft
The stories of H.P. Lovecraft contain many wonderfully amazing creatures. But in my humble opinion I find that Cthulhu (kah-thoo-loo) was Lovecraft's best creature.
cause the kids were racist!
No. That is a stupid question.
That he is a racist.
There were may peolpe who were confused that whether Portia was a racist or not? I personally feel that Portia was a racist as when Portia's servant Balthazar announces the arrival of the Prince Of Morocco, Portia says to Nerrisa that "If he have the condition of a saint, and the complexion of a devil, I had ratherhe should shrive me or wive me"This above statement tells us that Portia was a racist as she had not even met the Prince of Morocco and assumed that he is dark. There is no doubt that Prince of Morocco was dark but she judged him by his complexion not by his personality
