There is a book in The Bible named after Ruth, but she did not write it herself. It was probably written a century after she died.
Ruth was a virtuous woman whom Jews and Christians celebrate as one of the Bible's heroines. But she is not usually considered a prophet because she never made a prophecy.
Ruth of the book of Ruth was not a prophet or a preacher. In fact she was not even a Jew. Her former mother-in-law Naomi helped her to adjusted to life in Israel since Ruth had insisted on coming to Israel when Ruth's husband died and other men in the family died while in Another Country (not Israel). Ruth was instructed how to attract Boaz and legally get his care and love. Read the book it is excellent.
It would help to know which Ruth you are referring to?
No.
No, Ruth in the Bible was not a pagan priestess of Chemosh. She was a Moabite woman who married an Israelite man named Boaz and later became the great-grandmother of King David. Ruth is known for her loyalty, faithfulness, and kindness.
To get in touch with a priest* for a pagan wedding, check out your local business or telephone directory under 'pagan' or 'pagan wedding(s)', search for 'pagan wedding(s) + your area', or ask a wedding planner in your area. Even your local florist or herbalist probably has the information.*'Priest' isn't gender-specific; 'priestess' sounds nice and is fine to use, but you don't have to if you prefer not, just as pagan officials don't have to wear flowing robes if they prefer not to.
When either or both of the people getting married are practitioners of a Pagan Pathway it is appropriate for the proposal to be of a pagan nature. The marriage or "hand-fasting" may then be preformed by a pagan High Priestess &/or High Priest (if it is to be legally binding be sure that one of those people performing the ritual is recognised by the local authority). The Ritual may also be performed by a High Priestess/Priest and a recognised legal person (Justice of the Peace, Judge, Minister etc), or you may have two rituals, one Pagan, one secular). If either or both of the people being engaged are pagan but not yet "out if the broom closet" the proposal may be pagan but the marriage may not necessarily be. See the above options and add just a non-pagan service with friends and family of all paths attending. If one of the people being married is non-pagan and they or their family are opposed to a pagan Ritual then not only is it inappropriate, it is inadvisable.
A priestess is a female priest.
Depends on the temple (ie, what religion or spiritial tradition is being practiced there). However, most pagan/polytheistic modern temples use the term priest/priestess.
The duration of The Priestess is 1.82 hours.
A priestess is a female priest
offeiriades (priestess)
As each pagan spiritual path is individual it is difficult to give you a definitive answer. A pagan wedding is usually, but not always called a hand-fasting. As a High Priestess my usual blessing for a couple when they announce their intent to hand-fast (the engagement) is: "May the Blessed Lady, the Dread Lord and the Powers-that-be, guide and watch over you as a committed couple as long as the love shall last."
Hitler's Priestess was created in 1998.
Metal Priestess was created in 1981.
The feminize version of priest is "priestess."
