Yes, Lennon was a Tenor. But Tenors in Classical Music use their voices differently than tenors in rock/Pop Music. Lennon was a Rock/pop tenor. Pavoratti was a classical lyric tenor. Pavoratti could do things techically better than Lennon, but Lennon could do things vocally that Pavoratti couldn't do. Lennon would have trouble singing " La Donna Mobile" and Pavoratti could never sing " Twist & Shout " . Case Closed.
