AnswerTypically a laser (light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation) produces light of one frequency or of an extremely narrow band of frequencies. They initial laser "beam" was thought of as being one color, or having one frequency (monochromatic). But there are lasers that produce light across a broader spectrum, or on a multiple of (specific) frequencies, depending on the laser.

A link is provided below to the Wikipedia post on the laser.

AnswerA laser produces an infinite number of wavelengths, but they are all very close to a characteristic single value. AnswerIf the laser is pulsed then the shorter the pulse the larger the bandwidth (the range of frequencies) of the pulse. Femtosecond (one thousandth of a billionth of a second) pulses produce "white" laser light which contains all the visible frequencies.

Lasers of different wavelengths can be purchased from many sites online, such as Lexel Laser, and Wicked Lasers. Be sure to check the legality of the lasers in your country or risk losing them at customs.

Lasers emit what kind of energy?

Monochromatic, coherent, electromagnetic energy tuned over a wide range of frequencies/wavelengths.

Why pressure of Ne is kept small in He Ne lasers?

It was found that the pressure of Ne is kept small in He-Ne lasers for having the highest gain in the visible spectrum. But other visible also has infrared lasing wavelengths by using mirror coating.

What type of laser is used in laser hair removal?

There isn't technically a "type of laser," but more of a wavelength used since lasers are really just single wavelengths. Wavelengths used now are 755 for lighter skin to as high as 1064 for darker skin.

What type of lasers does Erchonia manufacture?

Since the early 1970s Erchonia lasers have been classified by wavelength and maximum output powers into four classes. The lasers are used in treatment of neck and shoulder pain, breast augmentation, acne, laser assisted body augmentation. The types of lasers they use for these treatments include 3LT Lasers, Custom Design Lasers and Zerona Lasers.
