Because if you use them faster than they are created, we'll all run out of it. As a needed resource becomes scarce, countries will fight over it, and regions of countries might try to break away, so there a real concern for social unrest and war.

∙ 13y agoThink globally, act locally. Start at home by taking shorter showers, turning off electrical appliances when they are not being used, walking or biking more and driving less, setting the air-conditioner to come on at a higher temperature and the furnace to come on at a lower temperature.
