The first two TV movies, Dr. Who and the Daleks, and Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 AD were directly about the Daleks.
The later 1996 movie had them as a minor plot point in the beginning, sentencing the Doctor's nemesis The Master to death, that was their only involvement.

The Doctor or the Daleks.
The doctor's enemies are the daleks.
The Daleks were the first aliens we are introduced too on the show Doctor Who, besides the Doctor and his granddaughter Susan. When we first meet them, TV was still black and white, and we only had the first doctor (No regenerations yet). The Doctor Takes Susan and her two teachers to the Dalek home world. There we are introduced to the Daleks, who at that time were only concerned about dominating their own planet. They were in a war with another alien race that was living on that planet as well. They nuked the planet and spots are some of the side effects of that. The daleks you see in NuWho however came from the body of their "creator". Spots on them just happen to be something that is natural, like spots on a cow or dog's fur.
