I doubt that you would be asking this question as a frequent flyer. So, I'm assuming that you have a limited need. That's not a bad thing because a detailed answer to your question would be very difficult to give. Every airline has more than one model of plane, and different models often have slightly different amounts of leg room. Also, as most people are aware, there are some seats that will have decent leg room on any plane (exit row).
Go to www.seatguru.com, and you can view the legroom as well as seat width which can be just as important at times for different airlines and different planes within their fleet. Simply choose from the airlines on the left. Then, choose the plane. It will actually give you a very detailed map of good or bad seats along with a very simple measurement at the top of the page.
