Only when it is illegal to worship God and is to be like Daniel's example. Civil disobedience does not need to include violence. In Luke 20:19-26, Jesus says to "render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." In other words, He tells people to pay their taxes.
Romans 13:1-7 commands all to be subject to the governing authorities. "For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment." Verse 7 also echoes what Jesus said in Luke with regards to taxes. It says, "Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed."
The exception to this is when it becomes illegal to worship or obey God. An example of civil disobedience is given in Daniel 6. Although the king passes a law forbidding prayer to anyone or anything except the king himself, Daniel prays to God anyway. In this case, he was blessed for his actions.
The Bible encourages believers to respect and pray for governing authorities, while also advocating for justice and righteousness. Christians are called to follow laws unless they conflict with their faith, and to stand firm in the truth even in the face of corruption. Ultimately, believers are reminded that God is ultimately in control and will bring justice in His perfect timing.
I think that we need to look carefully about what corruption is in a historical setting as what is considered corruption today was not necessarily considered corruption in the times that the bible was put together.
Nowhere in the Christian Greek scriptures does it tell Christians to change the government (John 18:36), however, we are to pray for GOD'S Kingdom (Matthew 6:9-10). God himself will bring the needed change, and not through man. In Daniel 2:44 it describes God's Kingdom as a government brought about by God himself, and ruled over by his son, Jesus Christ.(Daniel 7:13-14)(2 Timothy 4:1)
Corrupt has several meanings in English, and therefore there are a couple of words in Japanese for each case: Corrupt - As in destroy integrity 堕落する (daraku suru) means "to corrupt", and 堕落 (daraku) is "corrupt". As an adjective, you can also use 邪悪な (jaaku na) which is "wicked/evil". Corrupt - As in dishonest 買収された (baishuusareta) is an an adjective for a person that is already acting with such dishonest practices. 買収する (baishuusuru) is itself a verb for "to bribe".
During the Renaissance, the Catholic Church was involved in corrupt practices such as the sale of indulgences. Indulgences were essentially a way for people to pay for the forgiveness of their sins, leading to accusations of exploitation and misuse of power within the Church.
There is no definitive answer to whether the UK government is corrupt. Like any government, there may be instances of corruption, but it is not accurate to describe the entire government as corrupt. Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index ranks the UK relatively well compared to other countries in terms of perceived levels of corruption.
Corruption exists in all governments to varying degrees, including the US government. While there have been instances of corruption involving politicians and officials in the US, it is not accurate to say that corruption is endemic or widespread throughout the entire government. The US has systems in place, such as transparency measures and oversight bodies, to help prevent and address corruption.
There have been instances of corruption within the RCMP in the past, but it is not accurate to say that the entire organization is corrupt. The RCMP has taken steps to address and prevent corruption through various mechanisms such as internal investigations, training, and accountability measures.
Being a third world country, and being that the government is corrupt with cartels, and violence, I would say no
Russia did not really have a government system when it pulled out of WW1 because of the Bolshevik Revolution. But before the war the had a Tsar in charge and afterwards chaos to say the least.
corrupt
Need you say that in the society there were elements of the violent, the barbaric, the harsh, and the corrupt?
Egyptian citizens did have some participation in government. This, however, was not effective because the Mubarak regime had the ultimate say. It would take mass rebellion as part of the Arab spring to finally oust Mubarak and his corrupt regime from power. Recent events, however, did prove that Mubarak was not as corrupt as his political opponents made him out to be.
